Hi, My Name Is Ben Pennington
I’m the owner of Smile Painting. I’ve been working in the painting business for just under 10 years now. My goal here is to introduce myself to you so you can get to know me a bit more.
I was born on the Prairies in Winnipeg, Manitoba. I studied at and graduated from the University of Manitoba with a business degree. I’ve done a lot of traveling around the world and lived in Colombia for several years in my twenties where I met and married my beautiful wife, Angelica.
While in University, I ran and managed a painting business during the summer break and really fell in love with serving clients as an entrepreneur. After university, I spent several years in Colombia, learned Spanish, and rode my bicycle through the Colombian countryside for a whole month. The locals looked at me like I was crazy but it was great experience I’ll never forget!
After living in Colombia for six years, my wife and I moved back to Winnipeg where I owned and ran a successful business called InsideOut Painting for six years. It’s still in operation today! We completed close to 1000 jobs while I was there and we built our business based on integrity and excellent service and as a result got half of our business from referrals and repeat clients.
My wife and I recently moved to the Kitchener Waterloo area for a new adventure and to be closer to both of our families! We are loving the farmer’s markets and friendly people we run into everywhere. Plus it’s not as cold as Winnipeg 🙂
Smile Painting is an accumulation of my years of experience working in home service businesses like painting. It’s a passion project for me and I’m really excited to be able to serve this community with excellent service as best as possible.
